We must receive word of your acceptance or otherwise within ten days of notification. A non-refundable deposit of Euro 800 is then due within ten days of your acceptance in order to secure your place in the program. In addition, participants are financially responsible for their own travel to, and accommodations in, Mercatello. Choice of accommodations include private apartment with bath and kitchen, shared accommodations, and bed-and-breakfast. For those wanting a more intimate experience with the culture, there may be the option of half and full pension with local families. Specific information regarding housing costs is available from our housing coordinator, Benita Ryan. Depending on the type of accommodation, housing costs will run from 270 to 600 Euros for the entire month. You will be responsible for paying this in cash once you are in Italy. You need not worry about getting Euros before leaving - the ATM machine is as common in Europe as it is in the US, and there are two banks in Mercatello. For specific information on getting to and from Mercatello, please refer to the location page or contact Benita Ryan (Benita@voicenet.com).
You may send your deposit and balance of tuition either by check in US dollars, made out to The Professional Advantage, or by wire transfer. You should send the funds in US Dollars rather than Euros. Your account will be credited based on the OANDA rate of exchange on the day it was sent (in the case of a wire transfer) or the day of receipt (if cash or check). It is your responsibility to calculate the exchange rate yourself. http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/
