ACCEPTANCES AND ROLE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE SENT NO LATER THAN MAY 1, 2012.

EARLY ACCEPTANCE:  This year, applicants whose materials are received before February 1, 2012 and are accepted into the program, are eligible for a tuition discount of 200 Euros.  However, specific role assignments will still be sent on or before May 1, 2012.

DISCLAIMER:  Repertoire is chosen to best serve our participants.  Therefore,  role and scene assignments could be subject to change based on singer participation and/or withdrawal.


No materials will be returned unless we are provided with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Returning participants from prior years are eligible for a 15% tuition discount.

Acceptance and Costs

Upon acceptance, each participant is assigned roles and/or scenes. We must receive word of your acceptance or otherwise within ten days of notification. A non-refundable deposit of Euro 800 is then due at that time in order to secure your place in the program. Please see below.

Tuition for the four week program is Euro 2500, which includes all language and musical instruction. Upon notification of acceptance, each participant is assigned roles and/or scenes. We must receive word of your acceptance or otherwise within ten days of notification. A non-refundable deposit of Euro 800 is then due within ten days of your acceptance in order to secure your place in the program. The balance of the program fee is due no later than June 1, 2012, payable by cash (Euros), check, bank draft or wire transfer.

In addition, participants are financially responsible for their own travel to, and accommodations in, Mercatello. Choice of accommodations include private apartment with bath and kitchen, shared accommodations, and bed-and-breakfast. For those wanting a more intimate experience with the culture, there may be the option of half and full pension with local families. Specific information regarding housing costs is available from our housing coordinator, Benita Ryan.  Depending on the type of accommodation, housing costs will run from 270 to 600 Euros for the entire month. You will be responsible for paying this in cash once you are in Italy. You need not worry about getting Euros before leaving - the ATM machine is as common in Europe as it is in the US, and there are two banks in Mercatello.  For specific information on getting to and from Mercatello, please refer to the location page or contact Benita Ryan (Benita@voicenet.com). 

You may send your deposit and balance of tuition either by check in US dollars,  made out to The Professional Advantage, or by wire transfer. You should send the funds in US Dollars rather than Euros.   Your account will be credited based on the OANDA rate of exchange on the day it was sent (in the case of a wire transfer) or the day of receipt (if cash or check).  It is your responsibility to calculate the exchange rate yourself.  http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/

Once your deposit is received, you will be sent a confirmation of registration. Please note that though fees will not be reimbursed to students who either cancel or withdraw early, you will be allowed to attend on another occasion, or you may transfer this right to a third party of your choosing, if that individual is qualified for the program.

Auditions will be held at select sites throughout the US during the Fall of 2011 and Winter/Spring 2012.  Specific cities and dates TBA.
