Chicago based pianist Jerad Mosbey has performed extensively throughout the United States. In 2002 he received his Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, from Butler University, where he studied with artist-in-residence Panayis Lyras. He then received his Master of Music degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music from the University of Michigan as a student of world-renowned collaborative pianist Martin Katz. Coinciding with his academic training, Mr. Mosbey has held prestigious fellowships at various summer music festivals.  In the summer of 2001, he participated in the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and in the summer of 2003, he was a vocal piano fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center.

In 2004, Mr. Mosbey joined the Houston Grand Opera Studio. As a studio pianist he served as vocal coach on a number of productions, working with some of the top vocalists and conductors in the operatic world. Recent performance highlights include a guest artist recital with Philip Dikeman, assistant principal flutist of the Detroit Symphony, and two national residencies with baritone Joshua Hopkins for the Marilyn Horne Foundation. Mr. Mosbey's regular clientele in Chicago include young artists and emerging professionals, as well as established artists including mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore.
